Our New Series Revealing Different Stages of the Construction Process

DCL are involved in projects from the initial design stages all the way through to the final construction stages.

  • Projects begin with a feasibility study to determine if the clients requirements are possible for the given site.
  • Then site investigations will take place to gather information on the ground conditions, nearby buildings, underground services/tunnels, hazards and many other important factors.
  • The next stage is the initial designs, we work with Architects to fulfil the clients vision and begin to produce drawings so all parties can visualise the project.
  • Next we attend design meeting with Architects, Mechanical/Electrical engineers, project managers, fire specialists and multiple other parties to produce drawings ready for costing and construction.
  • Finally we will attend site visits to check the work of the contractors and ensure the construction works are carried out according to our drawings in a safe and secure manor. During this period we are on hand to answer any queries or design changes that could occur.
